You'll fit right in

Coming somewhere new for the first time can feel daunting, especially somewhere like a church. We want you to know that whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey, you will be made very welcome at Leyland Methodist Church.

What to expect on a Sunday

Our main service is on Sunday at 10:30am and usually lasts about an hour. There is a mix of hymns and modern songs, prayers, Bible readings and a talk that connects faith with everyday life. Come as you are, there is no dress code, and you won't be asked to stand up or say anything.

After the service we share tea, coffee and biscuits, and it is a lovely chance to say hello. If you would rather slip in and out quietly, that is absolutely fine too.

Children & families

Children and young people are an important part of life at LMC. Children stay with us at the start of the service before heading out to Club Sunday for stories, games and crafts with our trained volunteers. Little ones are welcome to stay with you throughout, and nobody minds a bit of noise.

Meet the team

Our ministers, staff and volunteers would love to say hello. Photos and introductions are on their way to this page, but in the meantime, come along on a Sunday and you will find plenty of friendly faces.

Accessibility

The building has step-free access, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop. If there is anything that would make your visit easier, please let us know before you come and we will do everything we can to help.

Finding us

You will find us in the heart of Leyland, close to the town centre, with parking nearby. Full directions and contact details are on our contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book or bring anything?

No. Just come along on the day. Everything you need will be provided, including a warm drink afterwards.

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in. Some people dress smartly, many come casually. You will not look out of place either way.

Will I be asked for money?

No. There is an offering during the service for those who consider LMC their church home, but visitors should feel no obligation at all.

I'm not sure what I believe. Is it still okay to come?

Absolutely. Many people at LMC started out simply curious. You are welcome to explore at your own pace, with no pressure and no expectations.

Is the building accessible?

Yes. We have step-free access, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop. Contact us if there is anything else that would help.
