Leyland Methodist Church is committed to the safeguarding and care of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Everyone who works with children or vulnerable adults at LMC is recruited safely, trained and DBS-checked in line with the Methodist Church's national safeguarding policy.
We follow the safeguarding policies and procedures of the Methodist Church in Britain, which set out clear standards for creating a safer space in every part of church life. Copies of our safeguarding policy are available in the building and on request.
If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person or vulnerable adult connected with our church, please speak to our safeguarding officer, who can be contacted through the church office, or use our contact form. If someone is in immediate danger, always call 999 first.
Concerns are always taken seriously, handled sensitively and dealt with in line with Methodist Church procedures.
The names and contact details of our safeguarding team will be published here once confirmed.
